ISRO's Spy and Surveillance Satellites Working Non-Stop to Ensure Safety of India
ISRO chief Dr. V. Narayan attending a 5th convocation ceremony at CAU Agartala. During this event chief said that, India International border with Pakistan is more then 7000 Km. To secure our border we should surveillance it only through satellite. We have to surveillance our more then 7000 Km seabank and without satellite and drone we can't fulfill our security.
Cheif reveals that India has more then 130 satellite in the orbit of the earth, out of them total 22 satellites orbiting in low Earth orbit and more then 29 satellites are Geo-synchronous earth orbit. More then a dozen of satellites are spy or surveillance purpose.
Total 52 Satellites Will Put in Orbit in Next Five Year to Increase capabilities in Defense Sector-
During GLEX-2025 held on 7-9 May 2025 at New Delhi Pawan Kumar Goenka the chairman of IN-SPACe (Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Center) told that India will set more then 50 satellites in the orbit in next 5 years to make india powerful in space-based spy and surveillance system.
Goenka said more that, we already enough capable in spy and surveillance just need to continously enhancement. A good plan have to put in surveillance system for our defence sector.
These all satellites will working for India’s defense purpose by Indian Navy, Indian Army and Indian Air Force to keep surveillance and record enemies movement, weaponry, strategic locations, monitoring our borders and to make ensure secure communication channels during war and conflict.
More Surveillance Satellite Will Launch On May 18
ISRO is fully prepared to launch one more key surveillance satellite EOS-09 (RISAT-1B) on 18 May.
This is a radar imaging technology and put into Sun synchronous orbit, providing radar images of earth in the day light. The sole purpose of this satellite is provide more surveillance capabilities to Indian border in sensitive areas.
ISRO Worked for National Development with Secure India-
ISRO chief reveals that ISRO is working not only for defence sector and provides sefty and security to India citizens, ifs also launch satellites and develop technology for agriculture, weather forecast, to monitor natural disasters, infrastructure development and education.
The List of 10 Satellites Who Worked Non-Stop During India-Pakistan War-
India has both LEO and GEO type of satellites 23 and 29 respectively provide real time surveillance data, secure communication channels, intelligence inputs who used by our armed forces to targeting enemies bases. And tracking their movement which further helpful in military operations.
RISAT Series:RISAT-2
RISAT-2 series of satellites provide high resolution images of enemies area and bases who helped our armed forces to recognize targets and hitting them with more accuracy.
