Trump's Budget-2026 canceled NASA's major upcoming missions

Trump govt. Targets to canceled NASA's upcoming missions-

- Space Launch System (SLS) rocket: The SLS rocket, built by Boeing and Northrop Grumman, would be canceled after its third mission in 2027 due to high costs and delays. The rocket's development cost has risen to more than $23 billion since 2010, with a price per launch of $4 billion.

- Orion crew capsule : The Orion capsule, built by Lockheed Martin, would also be phased out after three flights. This capsule is a key component of NASA's Artemis program.

- Lunar Gateway: The Lunar Gateway, a space station orbiting the moon, could be canceled under the proposed budget. This program is part of NASA's Artemis initiative, which aims to return humans to the moon.

 - Deep Space Program: The Deep Space Program, including the Mars Sample Return Mission, is facing significant cuts or possible elimination. However, Mars-focused programs may receive some funding, which aligns with Elon Musk's SpaceX agenda.

- Science Budget: NASA's science budget will be cut by 47%, raising concerns about the impact on scientific research and progress.

The proposed budget cuts have sparked criticism from various stakeholders, including The Planetary Society, which sees the cuts as "a historic step backward" for the country's space efforts. The result of this proposal will significantly impact NASA's future trajectory and potential partnerships in the aerospace sector.
