NASA captured images of the Pluto.
The American space agency (NASA) recently share images of the Pluto. Pluto is a dwarf Planet of the our solar system. Pluto has unique geological formation with its icy surface, small size and far unique orbit. Pluto had a highly eccentric orbit and complete its one rotation around the Sun in 248 years of our Earth.
Fun facts about its beautiful images
Pluto's heart shaped glacier as shown in the images, called as Tombaugh Regio, is made most of nitrogen ice and size of Texas. Scientists tells that it's geologically active and possibly floating atopa hidden subsurface ocean.
Some other factors of its beautiful photos.
- Surface structure: Pluto's surface is composed primarily of nitrogen ice mixed with darker organic material.
-Moons: Pluto has five known moons, including Charon, Nix, Hydra, Kerberos, and Styx.
- Atmosphere: Pluto has a thin atmosphere that freezes and thaws as it orbits the Sun.
Pluto was discovered so late in 1930 due to its small size & far distance from the Sun. Pluto initially considered the ninth planet in our solar system. However, in 2006, it was reclassified as a dwarf planet by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
